Former Children’s Laureate and one of Britain’s best-loved and most prolific writers and poets for children, Michael Rosen will be joining us to perform some poems and tell us about what inspired them.  Guaranteed to raise a giggle, Michael’s performance will be a treat for all ages!



'The Headteacher's Handbook'

What does a headteacher need to do to prepare for their first day in their new job? What do they do on their first day, first week, first term, first year? How do Headteachers communicate their vision and manage the operational aspects of the work. How do Heads manage all that is asked of them, stay the course and keep smiling?  
All these questions and more will be answered in Rae’s session where she will be talking about all the things that are in the Headteacher’s Handbook!

In this session, Pam will cover:
  • Practical techniques to lift your energy and shift your mood
  • How to say no and not feel guilty
  • Raising self-esteem and building resilience
This interactive and fun session will give you immediate results to boost your energy, resilience and wellbeing. Along with practical tools for saying no and feeling strong, you’ll be ready for whatever challenge comes next!

with Sophie Forbes-Taylor, Deputy CEO Transform Training
1:30-2:30pm

 
Sophie will look at what emotional education is and why it is important, how to help children to become literate around their emotions and practical strategies to use when helping children to manage their feelings.

Aimed at those about to take on their first teaching post and those entering their second year of teaching, David will deliver a session based around his book, focusing on the importance of building meaningful relationships with children to support behaviour management.
