'Creating Inspirational Learning Environments' with Nick Layfield 10:45-11:30pm A true celebration of the amazing impact of effective and passionate site staff – recognition of all that you bring to your school. The session will focus on how to ensure there is a focus beyond safety, security and maintenance of school sites to ensure they are environments that inspire children and encourage prospective families to choose your school. Content will support site staff to be a key driver in this and to ensure there is collective ownership in this area across leadership, office and site teams. |

'Parents Involvement in Children's Learning with Angela Pridger and Tracy Gallagher, Pen Green Centre 1:00-2:00pm Pen Green have built services with families rather than delivering services to families. Their experience of working with parents over many years is that families have a powerful understanding of what might be useful to them. They know from parents that by working together in an equal partnership, they are able to build on the learning that goes on in the home. Pen Green recognise this is a valuable way to have an effective and lasting impact on the development of children. In this session, Angela and Tracy will share with you how they work with parents, outlining how they engage parents in a dialogue about their children’s learning and share with you the key concepts that they find useful when working with children and parents. |
